Beyond PAM, CFP continues to promote pharmacists and support pharmacy research throughout the year. The Foundation recently announced up to $150,000 in research grants available for its 2021 Innovation Fund. Applications for CFP’s annual Wellspring Leadership Awards are also open until May 7, 2021.
Recent Innovation Fund recipients include Memorial University of Newfoundland's Debbie Kelly who is looking at the benefits of comprehensive medication assessments by pharmacists, and Carlo DeAngelis of Toronto's Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre exploring strategies to maximize virtual delivery of clincial pharmacy services.
CFP has also partnered with OPA and the Canadian Pharmacists' Association to offer an online CE program based on its popular Pharmacy Management in Canada textbook. Now pharmacists can take individual modules of the program along with the complete CE.
Since its inception in 1945, CFP has been celebrating the profession of pharmacy, and supporting initiatives to advance the profession. Find a full list of its grants and awards here.
