JUNE 2021 – Fees for the administration of COVID-19 vaccines in pharmacies range from $13 to $35—where does your province fit on that spectrum?

The Canadian Foundation for Pharmacy’s latest chart on changes in pharmacy practice due to COVID-19 includes new information on vaccination programs across the country. Among the details captured: program start dates, whether technicians can administer the vaccines; the number of pharmacies participating (as of late May) and fees paid by provincial governments to pharmacies.

The chart also contains updated information in the following areas:

  • new authorities or funded services;
  • prescribing authority;
  • therapeutic substitution;
  • virtual care; and
  • person protective equipment.
