The federal and provincial governments have enacted a wide range of temporary laws, regulations, policies and services in response to COVID-19. A number of these changes affect pharmacy practice and have put pharmacists at the forefront of ensuring continuity of care for patients.
The Canadian Foundation of Pharmacy (CFP) has created a chart to summarize the changes and enable quick comparisons between provinces. CFP sifted through official documentation from provincial pharmacy associations, regulators, ministries of health and Health Canada to gather initial information, and is working with the provincial pharmacy associations for regular updates. This latest chart was completed on May 25, 2021. To obtain earlier charts in French, please email Dayle Acorn, Executive Director of CFP (firstname.lastname@example.org)
