Sherry Peister

Sherry Peister has served as President of both the Ontario Pharmacists Association (1994-1995) and Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA) (2013-2014). While President of CPhA, she was instrumental in building the relationships required to help the association successfully transition to a new membership and governance model. Sherry became the first female Chair of Green Shield Canada in 2010, serving as a director from 1997 to 2020. She is a former director of In-Common-Laboratories and chaired their Governance and Nominations Committee.

Sherry is a three-time winner of the Women’s Executive Network’s (WXN) Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award, in 2016, 2017 and 2020, and she received the CPhA Meritorious Service Award and Pillar of Pharmacy in 2019. She has also been recognized for her work in the community, being awarded the Bowl of Hygeia award. She has served on district health councils as well as a hospital board.
