Pillar of Pharmacy

The Pillar of Pharmacy is normally awarded to one person annually. You may nominate others or yourself. Candidates must be actively involved in one of the four disciplines represented on the CFP Board (community pharmacy, academic pharmacy, pharmaceutical industry, pharmacy associations). Galye Romanetz is the 2025 recipient of the Canadian Foundation for Pharmacy’s prestigious Pillar of Pharmacy Award.

Throughout her 30+ year career, she has consistently led by example—earning her reputation as a trusted leader, skilled strategist, and dedicated advocate for the evolving role of Canadian pharmacists.

Vice-President of Operations at Northway Pharmacy in Manitoba, Romanetz is widely respected for building strong, adaptable teams and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

As a board member, CEO and now President of Pharmacists Manitoba, she has continually championed forward-thinking change to future-proof the profession and broaden the reach of pharmacy services.

Romanetz is also Founder and Principal Consultant of Romanetz Consulting where she has extensive experience partnering with stakeholders within the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry.
