Wellspring Pharmacy Leadership
The Canadian Foundation for Pharmacy is pleased to honour pharmacy leaders from across the country through its Wellspring Pharmacy Leadership Awards. CFP established these awards to honour the legacy of Barbara A. Wells, an exceptional pharmacy leader and beloved colleague who passed away in June 2010.

Congratulations to the 2026 Wellspring Pharmacy Leadership award recipient, Mishka Danchuk-Lauzon from Ontario. The $10,000 grant will help cover her costs in completing the Ivey Business School’s pathway program that begins with the Graduate Diploma in Management (GDM) for individuals with no business training, followed by the Accelerated Master of Business Administration (AMBA).
The four-month, part-time GDM will provide foundational education in areas including leadership, accounting, finance, marketing, operations and strategy. Danchuk-Lauzon will then undertake the 14-month, while-you-work AMBA program. Her three main areas of focus are to develop skills for financial decision-making, strategic thinking and change management.
CFP has awarded Wellspring grants to more than 40 pharmacists since the program was established in 2012, for a wide range of initiatives that foster personal development and leadership through study, experiential learning or mentorship.
CFP will begin accepting applications for next year’s award in March 2027. Please check back for detailed criteria on the application process.
