Leadership in pharmacy has never been more important. The Canadian Foundation for Pharmacy’s Past President Award celebrates the contributions of presidents of pharmacy organizations as they conclude their volunteer terms, recognizing the lasting impact their leadership has had on their organizations and on the profession as a whole.

This year, CFP honours a distinguished group of past presidents whose dedication and volunteer service have helped guide pharmacy through a time of rapid evolution and growing opportunities for patient care.

Tana Yoon, outgoing President of the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Program (CCAPP), describes how she was “thrilled” to be presented with this award. “I am a pharmacy technician, and I was the first one to sit on the NAPRA Board of Directors and the first one to become CCAPP President,” she says, noting that these experiences have spurred a real passion for playing an active role in the profession. “I cannot express enough gratitude for the support that I have received from the many pharmacy communities….I will display the plaque proudly in my office.”
