In addition to 33 years as a member of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto, pharmacist Dr. Jake Thiessen was instrumental in spearheading the creation of the first co-op pharmacy program in Canada at the University of Waterloo.

Individuals and teams involved in pharmacy practice research across Canada are invited to submit abstracts for in-person oral or poster presentations for the upcoming 2026 SHARP Symposium on September 30, hosted by the Canadian Foundation for Pharmacy and Ontario Pharmacists Association.
