Beating the drum for pharmacy

APRIL 2022 – As part of Pharmacy Appreciation Month in March, the Canadian Foundation for Pharmacy partnered with the Ontario Pharmacists Association (OPA) and the Neighbourhood Pharmacy Association of Canada to raise public awareness of pharmacists’ growing role in health care.

CFP, OPA and Neighbourhood Pharmacies collaborated to produce the article, “The Future of Ontario’s Pharmacy Services,” as part of the Celebrating Canadian Pharmacy campaign by Mediaplanet, a content marketing firm. The campaign included a printed educational supplement in The Toronto Star, distributed to 1.6 million readers on March 26, and digital articles on HealthInsight.ca, which attracts an average of 55,000 visitors monthly. HealthInsight.ca is a hub of sponsored content focused on healthcare innovations and best practices in disease management and prevention.

Other contributors to this campaign included the Canadian Pharmacists Association, the Canadian Association of Pharmacy Students and Interns, and OnPharm-United.
