Call for late-breaking research abstracts!

The inaugural Strengthening Health with Research in Pharmacy (SHARP) Symposium is happening on June 20th in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Co-hosted by the Canadian Foundation for Pharmacy (CFP), the Association of Faculties of Pharmacy of Canada (AFPC) and the Ontario Pharmacy Evidence Network (OPEN), the SHARP Symposium will showcase the latest research on pharmacy practice from across Canada and encourage discussion about how these projects can inform policy decisions. It will include keynote presentations, mini sessions, poster presentations and networking opportunities.

Recognizing that some research results may not have been available by the original abstract submission deadline of January 31, pharmacy practice researchers and students have the opportunity to submit late-breaking abstracts for work completed after January.

The submission deadline for late-breaking abstracts is April 18, 2025.

Click here to submit your abstract.

The abstracts will be peer-reviewed and authors will be notified by May 5, 2025. Late-breaking abstracts that are submitted will be designated as poster presentations only and will be presented on June 20, 2025.

Symposium registration is mandatory for all students, researchers and educators whose abstracts are accepted for presentation. Presenters must register no later than May 15, 2025.

May 15 is also the deadline for all attendees to take advantage of early-bird rates.

The SHARP Symposium is an exciting addition to the AFPC’s annual Canadian Education and Research Conference (CPERC) that starts on June 17. Symposium-only attendees do not need to register for CPERC.

Click here to register for CPERC and/or the SHARP Symposium.
