The Canadian Foundation for Pharmacy (CFP) thanks the estate of Peter Leslie Spalding for a recent $5,000 donation.
Spalding was proud alumni of the University of Toronto’s pharmacy program, graduating as president of his class, and contributing pharmaceutical artifacts to support the pharmacy program thereafter. Upon his passing last November, his family donated his remains to the university for anatomical studies and research.
After graduation, Spalding and his wife Alex ventured to Perth, Ontario, eventually settling in Wallaceburg where he acquired Brander Pharmacy. He later rebranded it as Spalding Pharmacy and continued to be a lifelong learner, always eager to expand his knowledge.
“We are very grateful for this generous donation to the Foundation and in the spirit of Peter’s love of pharmacy and learning, we look forward to funding future projects that will help to further advance the profession,” says CFP’s Executive Director Linda Prytula.
