Canada’s inaugural SHARP Symposium is packed with actionable research findings in primary care and the patient experience.
The Strengthening Health with Research in Pharmacy (SHARP) Symposium will showcase recent Canadian research and explore how these projects can inform policy decisions. The plenary and oral presentations are supplemented by panel discussions, conversation tables, poster sessions and networking breaks. Among the oral presentations:
- Community pharmacy-based testing and treatment for chlamydia and gonorrhea in (Swab-Rx Study, Nova Scotia Health)
- Evaluation of the Pharmacist Care Clinic Pilot in New Brunswick (University of New Brunswick)
- Initial uptake or minor-ailment services and community pharmacy characteristics in Ontario (University of Toronto)
- Screening for poverty and related social determinants by community pharmacists (SPARK project, Memorial University of Newfoundland)
- Building pharmacy services in a remote Indigenous community (We are medicine for each other, University of British Columbia)
