MARCH 2019 – The Canadian Foundation for Pharmacy welcomes its newest board member this year: Jean Bourcier from Quebec’s advocacy body for pharmacy owners. As a pharmacist, and Executive Vice-Vice-President and General Manager of the Association québécoise des pharmaciens propriétaires (AQPP) since 2014, Bourcier brings a unique perspective to the Board as one of three members representing Association.
CFP’s board gathers input from all pharmacy stakeholders as part of its commitment to fund research that will advance pharmacy practice. To that end, it has four members representing pharmacy and two from industry, in addition to those representing associations.
On the Executive Committee, incoming President Bill Wilson, who has held several positions in hospital pharmacy management throughout his career, takes over from David Windross. “Over the past several years I have had the pleasure of sitting on the Board of the Canadian Foundation for Pharmacy and it is an honour to have the opportunity to work with so many talented individuals who are committed to advancing the profession through the work of the Foundation,” says Wilson. “I look forward to the coming year to help to build on the great work of the Foundation in its efforts to support and advance the profession.”
