SEPTEMBER 2021 – The Canadian Foundation for Pharmacy’s 2021 Charity Golf Classic raised more than $60,000 to support the Foundation and its Innovation Fund, which has granted millions of dollars to pharmacy researchers and innovators since it was established in 2007.
“The participants and contributors spanned the many sectors of pharmacy. While we followed public health saftey measures, many remarked that this was the first time they had seen their colleagues in person since the beginning of the pandemic,” says Dayle Acorn, CFP’s Executive Director.
This year CFP was able to increase the total grant money available from the Innovation Fund to $150,000, up from $100,000. “Every single donation counts and it’s an honour to be able to channel the funds back to deserving pharmacists and projects that have the potential to advance the profession,” says Acorn.
Recipients of the 2021 Innovation Fund grants will be announced in October.
