MARCH 2017 – Learn more about ground-breaking research in pharmacy practice by joining the Canadian Foundation for Pharmacy at its annual Innovation Showcase event on Tuesday, April 4, at Westin Airport Hotel in Toronto.
Attendees will also hear about the future of pharmacy from keynote speaker Domenic Pilla, CEO of McKesson Canada. Tickets to this important fundraising event, which includes dinner, are $200 each.
Preliminary findings from two research projects, which have received funding from CFP’s Innovation Fund, will also be unveiled at Innovation Showcase:
Home-based medication reviews for non-homebound patients (research led by John Papastergiou, Shoppers Drug Mart); and
Travel medicine services provided by pharmacists with independent prescribing authority, which is especially timely now that pharmacists in Ontario can administer travel vaccines (led by Dr. Sherilyn Houle, University of Waterloo).
As well, an overview will be presented on the following project, also funded by the Innovation Fund:
Deprescribing of medications: workflow strategies to mobilize community pharmacists (led by Dr. Barb Farrell, Bruyere Institute)
