JANUARY 2016 – The Canadian Foundation for Pharmacy thanks the Ontario Pharmacists Association (OPA) for its continued support, most recently with an $8,000 donation representing proceeds from OPA’s 2015 golf tournament and a special raffle held at its 2015 annual conference. OPA’s contribution will go toward CFP’s Innovation Fund, which awards grants to practice-based research or innovative pharmacy practice models.
CFP is a long-standing charity of choice for the association. “We support CFP because it supports research to improve pharmacy practice in Canada,” says Dennis Darby, CEO. “OPA and pharmacists in Ontario have also benefited from a research grant from CFP for a project in hypertension. This is a way to give back.”
OPA is also one of the principal benefactors for CFP’s Pharmacy Management in Canada textbook, having donated $10,000 toward the creation of this long-awaited resource.
