Celebrating a Pillar of Pharmacy: Warren Meek

Many colleagues, friends and family gathered in-person (and by video) in Halifax, Nova Scotia in October to pay tribute to this year’s Pillar of Pharmacy winner Warren Meek.

In a series of heart-felt video messages and in-person tributes, Meek was recognized for all his efforts in improving quality health care in Canada and Africa throughout his pharmacy career, first as a pharmacist/owner and later through his company C7 Consulting Limited.

“Thank you, Warren, for your many years of medical missions as a fellow volunteer and as our pharmacist extraordinaire,” noted a member of the Canada Africa Community Health Alliance. Another said: “Your never-ending work…mentoring many allied health professionals and developing an EMR that could be used in rural Tanzania has been fantastic!”
