Hole in one for CFP!

The 31st annual Charity Golf Classic golf tournament, the Canadian Foundation for Pharmacy’s biggest charitable event, raised more than $75,000 for pharmacy research and grassroots innovation!

A huge thank you to the more than 120 golfers who joined CFP Executive Director Linda Prytula on a sunny day at the Glen Abbey Golf Course on May 26. And thank you to our gold sponsors: Bioscript Solutions, Impres, Jamp Pharma, Rexall, Sterimax and Sun Pharma.

The funds raised go to CFP’s Innovation Fund, which bestows grants for pharmacy research and innovation across Canada. Since its inception in 2007, the Innovation Fund has awarded more than $2.5 million in funding to pharmacy researchers and innovators.

This year, CFP will allocate $150,000 in grants for projects that strive to enhance Canadians’ experience with care and access to medication services (e.g., new service areas or delivery models, improving patient access, meeting the needs of under-served patients). Recipients will be announced in July.
